- I keep thinking about this discussion, and I agree that the name calling and judgments are not at all productive. However, especially for those who have never had a child, I wish our society did a better job of building women's confidence in their bodies and in the process of birth.

- Actually, if we study the history of birth, we learn that the primary reason that mortality rate of women and infants improved had to do not with the movement of birth into the hospital setting, but with an understanding of the importance of hand washing.
